Terminal Connectivity

Lekki Freeport Terminal (LFT)’s connectivity comprises sets of intermodal infrastructures taking advantage of its geographical location, conferring a higher level of accessibility to local, regional, and global markets. LFT considers all modes of evacuation and the various degrees to connect to the hinterlands with emphasis is on minimising total cost and time in ensuring safe seamless connections.

Seamless Connections

Our network of connections to the hinterlands of the entire West Africa is parallel to none. LFT is breaking new frontiers in intermodal transportation to connect customers seamlessly to our terminal. Shipping giants, CMA CGM, which controls a huge share of the francophone and West African markets, also partly owns LFT and is investing in the networking of major hinterlands throughout Nigeria and beyond. Partnerships with river ports and jetties in West and East of Nigeria have been established. The barge and truck haulage associations of Nigeria have become stakeholders in the LFT hinterlands projects. The Nigerian minister of transport has also approved the linking of LFT directly to the rail network that transverses from the West to the East of Nigeria.
